A humanities atelier for the age of language models.
Sylenus is a humanities atelier that treats large language models not only as generative tools but as objects of inquiry for rethinking human thought.
Drawing on literature, philosophy, psychoanalysis and hermeneutics, it investigates experimentally, through agentic authorship and computational poetics, how the concepts of author, interpretation, subject and text are transformed in the age of machines, and it builds the tools it uses in the open.
Now
Sylenus is in its founding phase. Essays, fiction, experiments and open-source tools are in preparation; each will be published here first, with its sources and the record of how it was made.
